DelMonaco Winery and Vineyards is seeking a long-term part-time tasting room employee in the Baxter, TN tasting room. The position would be 3 to 4 days per week, and the schedule will most likely be Wednesday - Sunday. Growth to full time is available to someone skilled in marketing, interacting with customers, and who possesses attention to detail in all tasks.
General responsibilities:
• Opens and closes Tasting Room
• Pours and describes wines/winemaking techniques for visitors
• Delivers an outstanding guest experience to all visitors and tour groups
• Answers questions about the history of the winery, wines, and events
• Assists customers with sales and event activities
• Provides general tourist information
• Stocks & tracks inventory and merchandise
• Pro-actively drives Tasting Room traffic through social media, tour company, key customer and local community outreach – social media savvy is a priority
• Assists at winery/club and off-site events, including wine festivals
• Maintains cleanliness (including washing and buffing of glassware) and physical appearance of tasting room and related facilities
• Performs various other duties as assigned by owner/winemaker/tasting room manager
Requirements
Qualifications: * 1-2 years related experience preferred, not required for enthusiastic, quick learners
• Ability to communicate/engage with diverse customer base
• Superior organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Flexibility and ability to manage constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
• Computer proficiency required; data entry experience preferred
• Knowledge of fine wines/wine industry
• Able to work flexible schedule including weekends
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• 18 Years of age or older with valid TN Driver's license and insurance
• Sense of humor required
• Must love wine and possess a strong desire to learn more about wine and winemaking
Physical Requirements: * Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds repeatedly
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $8.00 per hour
